The city lies on the Olsava river bank. Bojkovice has become a city as late as 1965. Among significant monuments of this place ranks the church of St. Vavrinec rebuilt into today’s appearance in 1650-1656. On a sheer hill behind the city the castle Novy Svetlov grew up in the end of 15th century which was after numerous modification reorganized into a Novogothic castle. Nowadays there is a museum of Bojkovice and surroundings. Northeastwards from the city a water reservoir has been built on a river Kolelac in 1966.
